A new strategy has been agreed by the Research Councils and can be accessed here 
. It offers Research Organisations clear guidelines on the assurance requirements of the Research Councils. The document incorporates the previous joint protocol statement. It also explains the rationale and methodology behind the Research Councils Funding Assurance Programme.
The new Funding Assurance Programme retains the light touch approach previously adopted under the Dipstick Testing methodology.
